Chapter 510

"Alexander, you've got a sharp eye as always." Vincent Wilson flattered before scratching his head. "Whose little princess is this?"

"Bianca Langley's daughter." Alexander Hamilton replied leisurely. "She's going mountain climbing and asked us to babysit for a couple days."

Vincent's tense shoulders instantly relaxed as he chuckled. "No wonder she looks familiar! Those eyes are identical to Bianca's."

He made an exaggerated funny face at the baby. "I heard Bianca's been hands-off with her company lately. Business meeting?"

"Mhm."

A phone ringtone abruptly cut through the air.

Vincent flashed an apologetic smile. "Excuse me, Alexander."

He answered casually, but his expression darkened the moment he heard the voice on the other end.

Alexander's gaze sharpened.

Vincent's knuckles whitened around his phone as if straining to catch every syllable. After a heavy pause, he barely managed: "Understood."

The rest of the conversation consisted solely of nasal hums.

Even Evelyn Carter looked up from her documents. The baby stopped babbling, staring curiously at this strange uncle.

"I'm at the resort." Vincent finally muttered before hanging up hastily, his eyes darting everywhere except at Alexander.

Nothing trivial could make the second son of the Wilson family this nervous.

Amused, Alexander asked with rare concern: "Debt collectors?"

"Worse." Vincent wiped sweat from his temple. "My brother. He's coming."

Alexander kept playing with the baby, unfazed. "So?"

The domestic scene sent chills down Vincent's spine. Everyone knew Alexander and Gregory Wilson were romantic rivals. Their meeting would be like lightning striking dynamite.

Stealing glances at Alexander's calm profile and Evelyn's indifferent demeanor, he forced out: "Should I... greet him at the entrance?"

"Sit." Alexander didn't even look up. "We don't turn away paying guests."

The unnatural tranquility made Vincent fidget. He shot Evelyn a pleading look, only to find her already reabsorbed in her documents, utterly detached.

Breakfast ended as the baby squirmed for a change of scenery.

"The kids' zone is just ahead," Alexander suggested. "Shall we?"

Evelyn closed her folder. "Alright."

Vincent trailed behind, watching their seamless coordination with growing dread. This sight would shatter Gregory's heart.

Laughter filled the colorful play area. The baby waved excitedly at the bright equipment.

"Not yet, sweetheart." Evelyn cradled her gently, placing protective hands around the tiny body.

The baby quieted obediently, though not fully understanding.

"Clap! Clap!" Evelyn demonstrated.

Giggles erupted until suddenly—a newly learned word bubbled forth: "Ma...ma..."

Evelyn froze.
