Chapter 108

Alexander's knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel.

"That's a human life!"

His voice was icy, his sharp gaze piercing through Simon. "What are you waiting for? Carry her into the car!"

Simon fidgeted nervously. "Mr. Hamilton, this is—"

"Alexander!" Annabelle rushed over, her pregnant belly prominent as she grabbed his sleeve. "Have you lost your mind? That's another man's wife!"

He shook her off, dark emotions swirling in his eyes. "When I was seven, I watched my sister's blood stain the entire street."

Annabelle's face drained of color.

"Mrs. Hamilton, please don't be upset," Simon said with an awkward smile, trying to mediate. "I'll go get my wife—"

"No need." Alexander had already bent down and lifted Natalie into his arms. The train of her wedding dress left a stark red trail on the ground.

Evelyn hurried after him. "Be careful with her abdomen!"

Outside the hotel's revolving doors, a black Maybach waited silently.

Secretary Emily visibly hesitated when she saw Evelyn but still greeted respectfully, "Madam."

The backseat was already occupied by the bloodstained wedding dress. Alexander pulled open the passenger door. "Get in."

Just as Evelyn's fingers brushed the door handle, she was shoved aside with surprising force.

"Dr. Carter," Annabelle blocked the car, her sweet smile laced with venom. "This seat isn't for just anyone."
