Chapter 333

The room fell silent for a moment before Gabriella spoke. "I'll notify you immediately once the test results come in." She carefully stored the blood sample away.

Then, as if struck by sudden recollection, she added, "I've examined everything you brought me previously. There were no irregularities in any of them."

Evelyn's brows knitted together. "Nothing at all?"

"Completely clean."

"Perhaps you should reconsider. Could there be anything you might have missed?" Gabriella suggested.

"That was everything I could possibly find. The calcium supplements I regularly take have already been tested by you - all ingredients are safe, no hormones or unusual substances. The occasional medications show nothing abnormal either. If those are clear too, I truly can't imagine what else could be the cause," Evelyn replied, frustration creeping into her voice.

Her mind raced through past medications. Could something have been secretly laced with hormones?

Gabriella looked equally perplexed by Evelyn's words.

"Maybe it's best not to dwell on it since you can't recall clearly. It happened years ago - any traces would have naturally dissipated by now, making investigation nearly impossible," Gabriella advised gently.

Evelyn gave a slow nod. After a thoughtful pause, she said, "I'll try to remember more details."

"Alright, I should head back now. I'll call as soon as your blood test results are ready," Gabriella said, rising from her seat.

Evelyn stood too, returning to her department.

Slipping into her white coat, she consciously pushed aside all distractions, forcing her focus onto her work.

Meanwhile, in the CEO office of Triumph Consortium, Nathan found his concentration repeatedly shattered by vivid memories of the previous night.

He set down the documents he'd been reviewing and leaned back, closing his eyes.

His fingers massaged his temples in slow circles as he willed his mind to clear.

"Get a grip," he muttered to himself. "You're not some hormone-driven teenager."

Last night had indeed been his first experience.

But really - he'd simply slept with his wife. What was the big deal?

They were married, after all. Such intimacy was perfectly normal between spouses.

Clutching this rationalization firmly, Nathan straightened in his chair and attempted to refocus on his paperwork.

Just then, a knock interrupted his thoughts.

"Come in," he called.

The door swung open to reveal Dylan.

Nathan's expression darkened at the sight of his uninvited guest.

Today, Dylan had come alone.
