Chapter 292

"Who?" Evelyn Sullivan didn't look up from her desk.

"Fiona Ferguson!" Sophia Reynolds leaned excitedly over the office table.

Evelyn's fountain pen paused mid-stroke. After a moment's thought, she shook her head. "Don't recall."

Sophia's eyes widened. "The designer who exposed Isabella's forged signature at the charity gala last time!"

"Oh." Evelyn resumed signing documents.

"She won third place in the National Design Competition!" Sophia slapped the desk enthusiastically. "If she joins us, our new collection launch will be the talk of the industry!"

Evelyn handed over the signed file. "Noted."

"That's all you have to say?" Sophia pouted. "Back when we started MY, we fought tooth and nail just to hire a fresh art school graduate."

Evelyn smiled faintly. "MY deserves better designers now."

Sophia's eyes sparkled. "You're right! We'll dominate the industry soon enough!"

After seeing Sophia out, Evelyn's phone buzzed violently.

Isabella's name flashed on the screen.

Evelyn declined the call immediately. The calls kept coming. On the fifth attempt, she finally answered.

"What do you want?"

Isabella's smug laughter crackled through the receiver. "Ethan stayed with me all night yesterday, dear sister."

Evelyn's gaze turned icy. "Shall I forward this recording to him for verification?"

"You—" Isabella's voice sharpened. "That CEO who drugged me? His company went bankrupt this morning! I'll always be Ethan's priority!"

"Finished?" Evelyn's tone remained calm.

"Stop pretending! I'll always be the one who—"

Click.

Evelyn ended the call and blocked the number without hesitation.

Isabella stared at her phone, then burst into laughter. She turned to her secretary mid-report. "What happened to last quarter's sales figures?"

Lily Lu nervously presented the documents. "Only half of MY's numbers..."

"Are all our designers incompetent?" Isabella slammed the papers on her desk. "Tell them to redo everything in a week!"

"That timeline might be..."

"Fire anyone who can't deliver!" Isabella snapped. "I want designs that crush MY, not this garbage!"

Lily bowed her head and retreated, quietly closing the office door behind her.
