Chapter 202

"Evelyn, Mason Young and Jason Zade have caved." Sophia Reynolds pushed open the door and placed her phone on the desk. "Legal just confirmed they're willing to settle."

Evelyn Sullivan's fingers paused briefly over the keyboard before resuming typing. "Proceed with the lawsuit as planned." She didn't look up. "Handle this yourself."

"Understood."

At the next morning's meeting, Simon Reynolds beamed as he handed her a file. "Evelyn, I compiled this supplier list overnight. Please review."

Evelyn flipped through the pages, her gaze lingering on several suspiciously low quotes. She closed the folder with a faint smile. "Appreciate the effort. But I've already lined up alternative factories for evaluation."

Simon's smile didn't waver. "Happy to contribute."

The discussion shifted to MY Fashion Group's market struggles. Shareholders argued heatedly until the blame landed on weak marketing. Evelyn cut through the noise. "Marketing will submit three campaign proposals this month. Simon will oversee."

After the meeting, Sophia stifled a laugh. "Brilliant! Now the old fox won't have time for schemes."

"Idle hands make mischief." Evelyn organized her notes. "I'm visiting new factories next week. Just Quincy and the team."

As dusk fell, a white BMW waited outside. Sean Reynolds opened the car door gently. "Any preferences for Ethan? I'll inform the restaurant."

"Unnecessary." She fastened her seatbelt. "Whatever he says tonight, don't take it personally."

Sean chuckled. "Don't worry. I won't embarrass my girlfriend."

The private dining room felt icy when they entered. Ethan Sullivan sat alone at the head of the table, his gaze freezing when it landed on Sean.

"Explain." His voice was razor-sharp.

Evelyn linked arms with Sean. "This is Sean Reynolds, my boyfriend." She felt his muscles tense beneath her grip. "Sean, meet Mr. Sullivan."

As Sean extended his hand, Ethan suddenly laughed coldly. "Hired actor?" His eyes locked onto Evelyn's whitening knuckles. "You still can't lie without that tell."
