Chapter 125

Lily White's social media account suddenly posted a public apology.

Attached was the full surveillance footage, clearly showing what had really happened at the mall that day.

The post instantly went viral.

"Holy crap! The truth comes out fast! Lily was the instigator all along!"

"Where are all the people who bashed Evelyn? Come out and face this!"

"I knew there was more to the story. There's always a twist!"

Evelyn Sullivan was reviewing documents in her office when her phone buzzed.

A message from Sophia Reynolds flashed on the screen: "Check social media! The Whites just issued a statement!"

Evelyn tapped the notification, her brow furrowing slightly.

This was unexpected.

She had planned to let Lily stew in jail a few more days before releasing her evidence.

Yet the White family had beaten her to it.

"Interesting," she murmured, setting her phone aside.

At closing time, Evelyn stepped out of MY Fashion Group's headquarters.

A sharply dressed man approached. "Ms. Sullivan, Mr. White requests the honor of your company for dinner."

Evelyn glanced at the black sedan idling nearby.

"Was the apology his idea?"

"Yes. He wishes to express his regrets in person."

"Unnecessary." She turned to leave.

Vincent White suddenly emerged from the car. "Ms. Sullivan, please wait!"

He hurried over, sincerity etched across his face. "I know my daughter and wife were completely in the wrong. I beg your forgiveness."

Evelyn regarded him calmly. "What exactly are you proposing?"

"We'll hold a public press conference. They'll apologize to you before the media."

"Not enough." Her voice remained even. "I want recorded apologies published across all platforms."

Vincent's jaw tightened. "Done."

That evening at the White estate:

Lily and Mrs. White had just been released on bail when they received the news.

"What?!" Lily shrieked. "You want me to apologize to that bitch?!"

CRACK!

A stinging slap silenced her.

Vincent stood trembling with rage. "Haven't you embarrassed this family enough?!"
