Evelyn Sullivan frowned. "What happened?"

"MY's designs from last quarter just launched yesterday and sold out instantly. But this morning, a plagiarism scandal exploded. Glorious sent us a cease-and-desist letter!"

Sophia Reynolds trembled with anger. She had personally reviewed those designs—there was no way they were plagiarized.

"Send me the accused designs. Do we have photos of Glorious's piece?"

"No physical images, but Glorious claims they have stock at Qanda Mall. I was about to head there."

Evelyn checked her watch. "The mall isn't open yet. Let’s return to the office first. Bring the designer to my office."

"What about the online backlash?"

"Stay silent for now. We don’t want to give them ammunition."

Half an hour later, Yvonne Young, a timid new designer, stood nervously before Evelyn’s desk. No one would expect such bold designs from this shy girl.

Sophia handed her a glass of water. "Relax. Tell us when you designed this piece. Do you still have the original draft?"

"It was completed on May 3rd and uploaded to the cloud that same day." Yvonne’s eyes reddened. "Sophia, I swear I didn’t copy anything!"

"I believe you." Sophia reassured her. "Walk us through your inspiration and design process."

By the time the sun dipped low, Sophia had compiled all the timelines. Evelyn closed the folder. "Time to face Glorious."

The online images only showed a vague resemblance, but they needed to examine the details in person.

Qanda Mall blazed with lights. The moment they approached Glorious’s entrance, a clerk blocked them.

"Sorry. MY employees aren’t allowed inside."

Sophia smirked. "What’s wrong? Afraid we’ll expose you?"

The clerk forced a smile. "Only plagiarists would say that."

"You—"

Evelyn yanked Sophia back before she could lunge. Dragging her away, Evelyn’s eyes darkened.

"They were prepared for us. The cease-and-desist is just the beginning. This might end up in court."

Sophia kicked a pebble in frustration. "Cowards!"

"Back to the office." Evelyn glanced at the mall’s security cameras. "I’ll find a way to get that dress."
