Chapter 119
Evelyn Sullivan walked away without hesitation, her back rigid with icy resolve.
Isabella Jackson quickly steadied the trembling Victoria Farley, her voice choked with tears. "Mom, please don't be angry. Evelyn just—"
"Enough!" Victoria's chest heaved violently. "From now on, you're my only daughter!"
A glint of triumph flashed in Isabella's eyes, though she feigned concern with a furrowed brow. "Mom, don't say that... I'll handle the White family."
Victoria clasped her hand, eyes brimming with affection. "You're the only one who understands me."
After escorting Victoria home, Isabella immediately dialed Mrs. White.
"Aunt Vanessa, about my sister..."
As dusk settled, Evelyn stepped out of MY Fashion Group's headquarters. A dark figure lunged at her from the side.
She dodged with razor-sharp reflexes. A bucket of crimson paint splattered the ground like a pool of blood, barely missing her coat.
The attacker bolted. Nearby, an accomplice revved a motorcycle and flipped her off with a crude gesture.
Evelyn smirked and dialed a number. "Find them."
An hour later, at the police station.
Mrs. White was dragged in, snarling like a rabid animal. "You little bitch! The Whites will destroy you!"
A sharp slap echoed through the room.
"Ah—!" Mrs. White shrieked, clutching her cheek. "I'll ruin you in this city!"
Evelyn flexed her stinging palm. "One slap clearly wasn’t enough to teach you a lesson."
By the time she finished giving her statement, night had fallen.
News spread like wildfire. By morning, every elite in the city was whispering.
At a high-society card game, a socialite sneered, "Mrs. Farley, how brave of you to show your face."
Victoria forced a smile. "It's all a misunderstanding..."
"Misunderstanding?" The woman arched a brow theatrically. "Your daughter sent both White women to jail!"
Victoria's teacup shattered on the floor.
