Chapter 474
Hannah's eyes curved into crescents, her dimples playing peek-a-boo on plump cheeks.
Though full-figured, her delicate features resembled a porcelain doll.
"That's more like it. Why didn't you say so earlier..."
She yanked Liam's arm, dragging him toward the campus gates.
Liam stiffened, attempting to withdraw.
Hannah clung tighter. "Don't be shy! We're besties!"
She bounced ahead like an overenthusiastic puppy.
Liam: "..." Since when did this girl bench-press trucks?
Just outside, Nathan emerged from a flashy red sports car, cake box in hand.
Hannah tilted her head. "Why does he always park right at the entrance? Doesn't he know it causes traffic?"
Liam pondered. "...Probably thinks it's cool."
"Cool? Because stepping out of a Porsche to gawking crowds impresses people?"
"...Something like that."
Hannah gasped. "You actually think that's attractive?"
Liam shook his head. "My grandfather says only a Lincoln screams 'class.'"
Hannah: "My dad and uncles swear by Toyotas for practicality."
So—
"Why insist on a Porsche?"
They exchanged baffled glances.
But...
Hannah eyed the cake box, swallowing hard. "That looks delicious."
Liam facepalmed at her starry-eyed expression.
Having stalked the campus entrance repeatedly, Nathan noticed Evelyn always accompanied these two.
He blocked their path. "Where's Evelyn?"
Hannah shrugged. "She's absent today."
"Where is she?"
"Personal leave."
"Why?"
"No idea."
As Nathan pressed further, Hannah tugged Liam away. "We're late—bye!"
Left standing in his tailored suit clutching a cartoon-printed cake box, Nathan became sidewalk entertainment.
This had to be Evelyn's revenge.
With a冷笑, he turned toward the trash bin.
"Hey—"
Nathan glanced back.
Sophia beamed at him. "Tossing things again?"
"None of your business."
"Flowers last time, cake today—what's next?"
He frowned. "We're strangers."
Sophia blinked. "I took those flowers, arranged them in vases, even shared with dorm neighbors. Earned me free bubble tea."
Nathan's brow arched. "You actually kept them?"
"Obviously. Not charging me now, are you? You discarded them."
Nathan: "..."
"Speaking of... mind handing over that cake?"
He scoffed. "To redistribute again?"
"Yep. Waste not—might score more free drinks."
"Can't afford bubble tea?"
Sophia grinned. "Free tastes sweeter."
"Because it's gratis?"
"Mmhmm." She nodded vigorously.
Nathan suddenly smirked, extending the box.
Sophia's eyes sparkled.
"Changed your mind?"
"Gimme!" She seized it, grinning ear-to-ear.
