Chapter 264
Evelyn Langley had just pushed open the laboratory door when two pairs of eager eyes locked onto her.
She froze mid-step.
"Professor Blanchet, Professor Macmillan, what's going on...?"
Natalie Blanchet and Vincent Macmillan exchanged a glance before rushing forward.
"Evelyn," Natalie rubbed her hands together, "we need your expertise on a technical issue."
Vincent nodded rapidly. "We have two sets of astronomical data to process. Traditional methods are too slow."
Evelyn arched an eyebrow. "Massive dataset?"
"Enormous!" Natalie gestured wildly. "At least five days' worth of computing time."
Evelyn pondered for a moment. "Let me take a look."
Thirty minutes later.
"How about this algorithm framework?" Evelyn typed the final line of code.
Natalie stared at the screen, her eyes widening.
"My God! This efficiency..."
Vincent leaned in. "Let me test it!"
When Adrian Klein entered, this was the scene that greeted him.
His two top researchers were orbiting around Evelyn.
Natalie was massaging Evelyn's shoulders.
Vincent held up a bubble tea. "Bought it special—30% sugar."
Adrian: "..."
When had his lab become Evelyn's domain?
Camille Valrose strode in on stilettos, her expression darkening at the sight.
Oliver Lancelot trailed behind with breakfast.
"Camille, your favorite soup dumplings."
"Greasy food this early?" She shook off his hand. "And when did I ever say I liked these?"
Oliver floundered. "Last week you—"
"Last week was last week!" Camille glared. "Can't you remember anything?"
Oliver shrank back, silent.
......
Chloe Valentine twirled her pen listlessly.
The fashion design course Margaret Evans had enrolled her in was mind-numbingly dull.
The instructor droned on.
"This season's trending colors are—"
Chloe yawned, her eyelids growing heavy.
Suddenly, a pointer slammed onto her desk.
"Miss!" The instructor scowled. "Pay attention!"
