Chapter 449

Preston Sinclair glanced at Evelyn and chuckled. "You really know how to push Sebastian Laurent's buttons, don't you?"

Evelyn's eyes sparkled with amusement as she smiled. "Someone needs to keep his temper in check occasionally."

Preston nodded in agreement. As they stepped outside, Teddy Winslow rushed to greet them. "Ms. Sinclair! Mr. Blackwood was worried you might be hungry since you skipped breakfast this morning." He beamed. "A man who's attentive, kind, and wealthy—now that's a rare combination!"

Evelyn rolled her eyes and shot Teddy a warning look. "The world wouldn't miss one less of his kind." Teddy shrank back, hesitating before he cleared his throat and strategically positioned himself between Evelyn and Preston.

The trio walking together made for an odd sight—two tall, striking figures flanking a short, round obstacle in the middle.

Completely oblivious to ruining the picturesque moment, Teddy bounced along like an overexcited rabbit. "Mr. Sinclair, I didn't expect to see you here either! Ms. Sinclair, weren't you visiting your professor? What a coincidence, right? Hahaha!"

Preston remained silent, continuing forward without acknowledging him.

Evelyn swore to herself she'd never bring Teddy along again. She turned her attention to the scenery, pointedly ignoring him. Teddy's enthusiasm deflated slightly.

Then, an idea struck him. He turned to Marcus, stretching out his plump arm eagerly. "Marcus! Take a photo of us! It's not every day Ms. Sinclair visits campus—we should capture the moment!"

Marcus narrowed his eyes at Evelyn, who hesitated before nodding. "Fine."

Marcus pulled out his phone calmly. Preston lingered, debating whether to excuse himself when Evelyn called out, "Mr. Sinclair, care to join us?"

Preston lowered his gaze for a brief moment before nodding. He stepped closer, leaning slightly toward Evelyn.

Teddy's cheerful expression faltered for a second before he plastered on another grin. She's just being polite. That's all.

He stretched his arms above his head, forming a heart shape with his fingers, grinning widely. This was his moment—standing in the same frame as the legendary Goddess Evelyn Sinclair!

Separated by Teddy, Preston stood with his usual regal composure, expressionless as if facing a press conference. Marcus raised the phone but hesitated before snapping the shot. Teddy's arms trembled from the effort of holding the pose.

"Marcus, what's taking so long?" Teddy complained, his arms aching.

Marcus lowered the phone. "It's ugly."

"Ugly?!" Teddy gasped, scandalized. "How could you associate that word with Ms. Sinclair? She's flawless!"

Marcus narrowed his eyes. "You're ugly."

The air turned icy. Teddy crossed his arms indignantly. "I don't believe you!" He stomped toward Marcus, ready to argue.

Before he could reach him, Marcus suddenly lifted the phone again.

Click.

The shutter sound echoed as the photo was taken. Marcus lowered the device calmly. "Now that's a good picture."

With that, he walked past Teddy and handed the phone to Evelyn. "What do you think, Miss?"

Evelyn took it, her lips curving into a smile as she studied the image.
