Chapter 363
Evelyn Sinclair had asked all her friends, yet none were available to join her at the amusement park today.
Even her closest friends Isabella Montgomery and Natalie Beaumont had declined her invitation.
Left with no choice, she decided to bring her AI companion Leo along.
She'd cleverly disguised Leo as a domestic cat, dressing him in adorable feline attire that made him look like an exceptionally large house cat.
The tiger-turned-cat peeked out from her designer tote bag, his golden eyes sparkling with excitement.
"I want the carousel! And the roller coaster!" Leo whispered urgently, his tail twitching beneath the fabric.
Evelyn shushed him gently. "Remember your cover - you're supposed to be a normal house cat."
Leo pouted dramatically, clawing at the expensive leather of her bag in protest.
"Meow," he grumbled unconvincingly.
She couldn't help but chuckle as she scratched behind his ears. "Good kitty."
Her visit wasn't purely recreational - she was here on business. Without a photograph of Preston Sinclair's butler, she could only assume he'd be an older gentleman.
Yet none of the senior men here fit the profile, as they all appeared to be accompanying children.
As Evelyn wandered through the park, a small figure in a lion onesie suddenly barreled into her legs. "Pretty Lady!"
Startled, she looked down at what sounded like an eight-year-old boy. "Excuse me? Who are you?"
She glanced around, wondering if someone had lost their child.
"It's me! Don't you remember?" The child's voice carried a heartbreaking note of disappointment.
Evelyn was thoroughly confused.
Reaching out, she lifted the lion mask. "Little lion?"
The boy gasped dramatically before removing his hood completely. Evelyn helped him, smiling at his theatrical nature.
He was an adorable child with golden curls and sapphire eyes that sparkled like tropical waters, barely reaching her waist in height.
Hugging her leg tightly, he beamed up at her. "I finally found you!"
While instantly charmed, Evelyn worried he'd mistaken her for someone else. "Are you lost? Should we find your family?"
The boy shook his head violently, his expression crumbling. "You really don't remember? I'm Oliver!"
His lower lip trembled dangerously, eyes welling with tears.
Evelyn panicked slightly - she'd never seen this child before in her life!
Before he could start crying, she quickly suggested, "Let's get you to guest services to find your parents."
Oliver immediately dug in his heels, tears now streaming as park visitors began staring. "I'll be good! Please don't leave me!"
The display melted nearby hearts. An elderly woman scolded Evelyn, "Don't tease your little brother like that, dear. Take him home."
Evelyn could only blink in bewilderment.
Now standing at the playground exit with both her mission incomplete and an unexpected child in tow, Evelyn sighed as Oliver clung to her hand with a triumphant grin.
"Home time?" he asked hopefully.
"Whose home?" Evelyn countered cautiously.
"Yours! You can keep me until I'm big enough to marry you!" Oliver declared.
At this, Leo's head popped out of the bag. "How long will that take?"
Oliver gasped at the "cat," immediately reaching to scoop Leo up by the scruff. "A talking kitty! Can I play with him?"
"I'm a tiger!" Leo protested as he dangled.
"No, you're a magical cat!" Oliver kissed Leo's nose loudly before cuddling him tightly against his chest.
Seeing Leo's resigned expression, Evelyn suppressed a laugh. "How about this - you come with me temporarily while we locate your family?"
Oliver nodded eagerly, practically vibrating with joy. "I'm finally going home with my Pretty Lady!"
